Buying in Paraguay from abroad
We know what it means to decide from thousands of kilometres away. We are with you from the first search to the signing, on both sides of the ocean.
How it works
You tell us what you need
Area, type of property, budget and timing. If you do not know the areas yet, we explain them.
We send you concrete options
Only available properties, with their official price and the details we have checked.
You see them without travelling
On a video call from the property, at a time in your time zone, with photos and video of anything you want to check.
Visits when you travel
We organise the visits so you make the most of your trip.
We coordinate the purchase
With independent notaries and professionals, who review the documents and execute the public deed.
Through to signing and the keys
We are with you on the day of signing and at the handover.
What we do and what other professionals do
Peraltum searches, selects, presents and accompanies you. The legal check of the property and the public deed are carried out by a notary public, and tax or immigration matters by the relevant professionals. We help you find them and coordinate with them.
Frequently asked questions
How much do I pay Peraltum if I buy?
If you buy a property from our portfolio, nothing: our fee, 5% plus VAT, is paid by the seller. If you ask us to search beyond our portfolio (Property shopper), we charge 1.5% of the purchase price plus VAT, and only if you buy. Deed costs and purchase taxes are separate, and the notary will set them out for you.
Which currency is the price in?
The official price is the one set by the owner, in guaraníes, US dollars or euros. On the website you will see a simulated conversion into your currency for reference only: the official amount is the one that counts.
Can I buy if I do not live in Paraguay?
In general, yes. There are restrictions in some border areas, and the notary will confirm what applies to your case before you commit.
Do I have to travel to sign?
It depends on the transaction. Sometimes an attorney can sign on your behalf; we look at it with you and the notary.
Start by telling us what you need
We reply with concrete options, even if you do not know the areas yet.
